UVA’s Department of Pediatrics seeks a Board-Certified Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician (DBP) or Neurodevelopmental Disability (NDD) specialist to lead the Division of Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Pediatrics (NDBP).
This senior leadership position (Associate/Full Professor, tenure or non-tenure) will guide the division’s clinical, academic, and research efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow a dynamic, multidisciplinary team
- Oversee clinical care, research, education, and fellowship training
- Foster innovation and excellence in care delivery
- Collaborate with departments across pediatrics, psychology, and education
- Advance diversity, equity, and community outreach initiatives
- Program Highlights:
- 8 MDs, 6 NPs, and integrated pediatric psychology team
- New state-of-the-art Behavioral Health Clinic opening Dec 2024
- Leadership in the Blue Ridge LEND program
- $1M+ in state support for autism and mental health access
- Nationally ranked UVA Children’s Hospital in 8 specialties (USNWR 2024)
Qualifications:
- MD/DO, Board Certified in DBP or NDD
- Eligible for VA licensure and UVA faculty appointment
- Proven leadership in academics, research, and clinical care
