Division Director, Neurodevelopmental & Behavioral Pediatrics (NDBP)

  • Leadership role overseeing clinical, academic, and administrative activities within the NDBP Division.
  • Open to Board-certified Developmental Behavioral Pediatricians (DBP) or Neurodevelopmental Disability (NDD) specialists at Associate or Full Professor rank.
  • Tenure-eligible depending on qualifications.
  • Strategic Leadership: Define and implement division vision aligned with UVA Pediatrics and UVA Health Children’s.
  • Clinical Oversight: Supervise faculty, Advanced Practice Providers (NPs), and interdisciplinary care teams.
  • Education & Training: Maintain accreditation and excellence in DBP fellowship and other trainee education.
  • Research & Program Development: Support faculty research, quality improvement, and innovation initiatives.
  • Administrative Management: Oversee clinical programs, faculty career development, and division operations.
  • Collaboration & Community Outreach: Work with UVA’s School of Education, Blue Ridge LEND, and state-funded initiatives like the Virginia Mental Health Access Program.
  • Equity & Inclusion: Serve a diverse patient population, emphasizing bilingual and publicly insured patient care.

Funding & Partnerships:

- Over $1M in state funding supporting autism assessment training for primary care providers. - Strong collaboration with pediatric psychology (7 PhD psychologists) and therapy services (PT, OT, SLP).
