Summary:
Provide independent primary care in a variety of clinical settings to a specified population of non-emergency patients. Provide consultation and advice to others as a highly specialized practitioner.
Responsibilities:
- Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment within practice for a specified patient population.
- Supervise mid-level practitioners; may train and supervisor medical students and residents engaged in specialty activities and procedures, as appropriate.
- Manage the daily operations of a clinic, outpatient, or medical office.
- Direct and coordinate the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.
- Provide direct psychological nursing care in the presence of illness or disability in order to maintain life, provide comfort, reduce stress and enhance coping abilities.
- Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.
- May perform clinical research related to specific operations.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of a broad range of current and emerging trends in technologies, techniques, issues, and approaches in area of expertise.bility to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues
- Ability to educate patients and/or families as to the nature of disease and to provide instruction on proper care and treatment
- Ability to develop and enthusiastically administer educational programs (eg, presentations, lectures, workshops) and materials
- Ability to accurately interpret applicable federal, state, county and local laws, regulations, and requirements
- Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in area of expertise
- Knowledge of primary care principles and practices
- Ability to supervise, advise, and train clinical professionals and/or students in area of expertise
- Ability to perform medical examinations using standard medical procedures

- Essential:
- State of Wisconsin and DEA
- Medical specialty
- Board Eligible in Specified Area of Medical Study
- Credentialed
- Driver's License Personal & Tribal Vehicle
- Insurance Required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certified within ninety (90) days of employment
- First Aid Certified Within ninety (90) days of employment
- Wisconsin Physician
- Nonessential:
- Driver Safety Training prior to employment
- Health Insurance Portability (HIPAA) Accountability
- Child Abuse Reporting Policy (CARP) Training (HRD) within ninety (90) days of employment
Experience:
- Essential: 3 years PCP in a clinic or outpatient setting
