    Summary:

    Provide independent primary care in a variety of clinical settings to a specified population of non-emergency patients. Provide consultation and advice to others as a highly specialized practitioner.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment within practice for a specified patient population.
    2. Supervise mid-level practitioners; may train and supervisor medical students and residents engaged in specialty activities and procedures, as appropriate.
    3. Manage the daily operations of a clinic, outpatient, or medical office.
    4. Direct and coordinate the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.
    5. Provide direct psychological nursing care in the presence of illness or disability in order to maintain life, provide comfort, reduce stress and enhance coping abilities.
    6. Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.
    7. May perform clinical research related to specific operations.
    8. Skills:
    9. Knowledge of a broad range of current and emerging trends in technologies, techniques, issues, and approaches in area of expertise.bility to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues
    10. Ability to educate patients and/or families as to the nature of disease and to provide instruction on proper care and treatment
    11. Ability to develop and enthusiastically administer educational programs (eg, presentations, lectures, workshops) and materials
    12. Ability to accurately interpret applicable federal, state, county and local laws, regulations, and requirements
    13. Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in area of expertise
    14. Knowledge of primary care principles and practices
    15. Ability to supervise, advise, and train clinical professionals and/or students in area of expertise
    16. Ability to perform medical examinations using standard medical procedures

    Credentials:

    1. Essential:
    2. State of Wisconsin and DEA
    3. Medical specialty
    4. Board Eligible in Specified Area of Medical Study
    5. Credentialed
    6. Driver's License Personal & Tribal Vehicle
    7. Insurance Required
    8. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certified within ninety (90) days of employment
    9. First Aid Certified Within ninety (90) days of employment
    10. Wisconsin Physician
    11. Nonessential:
    12. Driver Safety Training prior to employment
    13. Health Insurance Portability (HIPAA) Accountability
    14. Child Abuse Reporting Policy (CARP) Training (HRD) within ninety (90) days of employment

    Experience:

    1. Essential: 3 years PCP in a clinic or outpatient setting
