Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a full-time Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work at an established clinic in Augusta, GA who functions as an integral part of the healthcare team; serves various roles, including working directly alongside faculty and staff, providing care to the entire spectrum of patient acuity levels, working semi-autonomously and serving as a provider to initiate appropriate care, including laboratory studies and/or imaging as indicated, at the front end of a patient's visit. The APP-Ambulatory works in the ambulatory/clinic setting only.

Required Minimum Skills

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations.

  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions.

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests.

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans.

  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

  • Educate patients and families about health management and disease prevention.

  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records

Specific Additional Duties Assigned:

  • Communicate with the patient and family and update them on plans of care along with any changes (positive and negative) in condition or management.

  • Communicate plans of care to the nursing staff daily.

  • Sign out pertinent patient issues to the Pediatric Infectious Disease Attending prior to leaving for the day.
