Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a full-time Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work at an established clinic in Augusta, GA who functions as an integral part of the healthcare team; serves various roles, including working directly alongside faculty and staff, providing care to the entire spectrum of patient acuity levels, working semi-autonomously and serving as a provider to initiate appropriate care, including laboratory studies and/or imaging as indicated, at the front end of a patient's visit. The APP-Ambulatory works in the ambulatory/clinic setting only.
Required Minimum Skills

Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations.

Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions.

Order and interpret diagnostic tests.

Develop and implement individualized care plans.

Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Educate patients and families about health management and disease prevention.

Maintain accurate and timely medical records
Specific Additional Duties Assigned:

Communicate with the patient and family and update them on plans of care along with any changes (positive and negative) in condition or management.

Communicate plans of care to the nursing staff daily.

Sign out pertinent patient issues to the Pediatric Infectious Disease Attending prior to leaving for the day.
