Inpatient and outpatient

Our ideal candidate will help with all aspects of care, including treatments and consultations as part of a physician/advanced practice provider team. The Physician will work in outpatient setting and will practice independently. The Physician will be included in the Newborn/Pediatric Call rotation on the inpatient unit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides clinical care for pediatric patients;
  • Completes comprehensive patient assessments;
  • Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness;
  • Orders and interprets medical diagnostics;
  • Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy, and medical equipment;
  • Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care;
  • Refers for specialty care when determined;
  • Promotes communication within the team and other interdisciplinary health care staff;
  • A patient-first approach, working towards increasing access for community;
  • Works with administration for program development;
  • Demonstrates awareness, understanding and respect of cultural diversity and patients of all ages and socioeconomic groups; and,
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school and completed residency training program
  • Board certification in Pediatrics
  • Licensed or ability to obtain licensure through the Wisconsin Board of Medical Practice
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Wisconsin
  • Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
