Our ideal candidate will help with all aspects of care, including treatments and consultations as part of a physician/advanced practice provider team. The Physician will work in outpatient setting and will practice independently. The Physician will be included in the Newborn/Pediatric Call rotation on the inpatient unit.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides clinical care for pediatric patients;
- Completes comprehensive patient assessments;
- Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness;
- Orders and interprets medical diagnostics;
- Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy, and medical equipment;
- Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care;
- Refers for specialty care when determined;
- Promotes communication within the team and other interdisciplinary health care staff;
- A patient-first approach, working towards increasing access for community;
- Works with administration for program development;
- Demonstrates awareness, understanding and respect of cultural diversity and patients of all ages and socioeconomic groups; and,
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited medical school and completed residency training program
- Board certification in Pediatrics
- Licensed or ability to obtain licensure through the Wisconsin Board of Medical Practice
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Wisconsin
- Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
