** Practice Setting**

• Inpatient trauma level III emergency department
• 39 monitored ED beds, 9 fast-track beds, 10 BH beds
• Observation unit with 11 beds managed by hospitalists
• Specialty backup available

** Schedule**

• Minimum of 5 shifts per month

  • All shift types accepted; preference for nights
  • 8–9 hour shifts

• Includes orientation with shadowing and training

** Procedures and Cases**

• Broad range of typical emergency department presentations
• Steady pace with 1.8 patients per hour on average
• Primarily adult population with 9% pediatric cases

** Requirements**

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in EM, FM, or IM
• ACLS and ATLS required
• Must hold an active South Carolina license
• Board Eligibility must be within 3 years of residency
• EM board certification preferred
