  • Rush is currently recruiting Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA) to join their team. The CRNA will function under the medical direction of the anesthesiologist with regard to pre-anesthetic, anesthetic and post-anesthetic patient management.

    Position Highlights: (Flexible Schedule/Parking/Call)

    • Flexible schedules: 8,10,12 hour shifts available
    • Additionally, our CRNAs are relieved on-time for their slated shifts and not on a "waterfall tear-off" system
    • Parking is included at no cost for stress free ease of access to the facility
    • Call requirements are minimal, with no in-house call requirements.
    • Additionally, you are paid a call-rate if you are called in. Call-ins occur about 10% of the time.
    • As a faculty member, the CRNA will clinically educate as a preceptor for SRNAs.

    SRNA Grant/Illinois Nurse Educator Loan Repayment Program:

    • Rush offers all SRNAs the SRNA Grant and Service Agreement. Up to one year before starting on with Rush as an CRNA, students are eligible for a grant to help pay for the cost of their education.
    • Illinois Nurse Educator Loan Repayment Program- $5,000 of loan forgiveness per year up to four years total.

    • 208 hours per year of paid time-off are offered to full-time CRNAs in addition to our 7 recognized paid holidays.
    • Part-time CRNAs receive pro-rated time-off based on their FTE. All your hours are available to utilize once you start working-you do not have to accrue time.

    Continuing Education:

    • $2,000 per year for continuing medical education is available for CRNAs
    • $1,500 every three years for maintenance of licenses and certifications in
    • 1 week off for CME separate from PTO

    Position Qualifications Include:

    • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program.
    • Current IL RN/APN license.
    • CPR and ACLS.

    Compensation Details

    $239-300k

    - $175-225/hr beyond FTE extra-rate (extra-shift hours worked beyond your FTE). One 8-hour extra shift per week equates to approximately $70-90,000/year. - $30k sign-on - $20k SRNA Grant (lump sum)
