Shift Hours: Monday – Friday 8a-5p
Job Duties & Responsibilities
· Determines which cases to refer to the physician for further diagnosis and treatment.
· Assumes principle responsibility for the primary health maintenance of individuals of all ages with a complete spectrum of health problems.
· Identifies the health status of patients by taking medical histories, performing examinations and initiating and evaluating screening and diagnostic procedures.
· Initiates appropriate therapeutic intervention based upon assessment and evaluation of the health status of the individual and explains disease process to patient.
· Documentation/Completion of EHR/Medical Records and keep case histories in accordance with the corporation's procedures.
· Plans and assumes responsibility for on-going health maintenance and clinical management of patients' emotional behavior, counsels and instructs individuals and families regarding domestic and health related problems.
· Interprets and reviews laboratory tests; reviews medication refills.
· Initiates orders for diagnostic laboratory and x-rays.
· Serves as clinical consultant to nursing and paramedical personnel.
· Assists with in-service trainings.
· Performs nursing duties when necessary.
· Coordinates work activities with families, community agencies and other members of the health team and has a thorough knowledge of community resources.
· Performs additional tasks appropriate to background and training as assigned
· Quality of care (Quality Measures) and participation in Peer Review.
· Provide virtual care services. You will speak with patients over the phone and video to assess their needs, gather important clinical history, diagnose, and provide appropriate clinical guidance or treatment.
· Manage a panel of primary care patients and provide comprehensive care (including acute care, chronic disease management, and preventive care) to improve health outcomes and quality.
· Must be able to use manual dexterity while using office equipment such as computers, laptops, keyboard, and mouse. Ability to perform multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.

· Must be able to work assigned shifts including evening and weekend requirements per contract.
· Ability to perform job functions independently. Ability to arrive on time to shifts, complete shifts as scheduled and maintain excellent attendance.
Skills & Requirements
· Possess a Physician Assistant certificate issued by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance
· Completion of a Family Practice Physician Assistant Program of not less than a 24 month education course, comprised of 12 months didactic training plus 12 months supervised clinical internship with didactic training
· Possess a certificate of completion from a Controlled Substances Education Course of at least 6 hours
· Must be sensitive to the corporation diverse patient population
· Current CPR certificate
· Effective communication skills. Effective time management skills
· Demonstrate clear knowledge of clinic structure, standards, procedures and protocols
Compensation Details
$120-160k
Salary is based on experience. This client offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes continuing medical education, licensed reimbursement and the possibility of federal and state loan repayment for full-time positions. All of our sites are HPSA sites!
