Job Summary:

The Department of Radiology, University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking a full-time Cardiovascular Imaging Radiologist interested in pursuing an academic career at the rank of Assistant, Associate of Full Professor on either the Clinical Health Sciences (CHS) Track or Clinician Teacher (CT) Track. Our section interprets adult and pediatric cardiac Computed Tomography (CT) scans, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) examinations as well as vascular CTs and MRIs. The Cardiovascular Division at the University of Wisconsin-Madison has a well-established regional and national reputation as a source of Cardiovascular Imaging clinical care, education, and research with availability of tools like 4D Flow MRI, CT-FFR, and integrated AI applications. Members of the Cardiovascular Imaging section are actively involved in a variety of national and international professional societies and are recognized locally for their clinical skills and passion for teaching.

-Full home PACS workstations are provided for all after-hours and call duties with opportunities for remote work for some day shifts.
- Fully integrated PACS, Electronic Health Record (EHR), and reporting system with a suite of post-processing and artificial intelligence applications.

Responsibilities:

60% Interpretation and reporting of Cardiovascular imaging studies including CT and MRI examinations.
20% Teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows.
15% Scholarly activities including research or developing educational materials and developing or expanding clinical programs
5% Participating in multidisciplinary activities

CHS Faculty - The successful applicant will participate in administrative, and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.

Education:

Required
Terminal Degree
MD, DO or equivalent by start date

Qualifications:

Completion of Cardiovascular Imaging Fellowship Program or a Cardiothoracic Imaging Fellowship (with a focus in a strong interest in cardiovascular imaging) - required by start date

License/Certification:

Required
MD - Physician - State Licensure
WI medical license, or eligible for by the start date

Required
ABR - Certified or board eligible by American Board of Radiology
Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Radiology - required by the start date of the position
