  • Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) is currently seeking a Program Director to lead the Family Medicine Residency Program. This position will be joining an Associate program director who has been with the program for many years, who will provide continued support. The position is a full-time physician position that includes a mix of clinical and non-clinical responsibilities, with significant protected time for teaching, administration and scholarly activity.

    Core Job Responsibilities

    • Directs the planning, implementation and evaluation of all medical and administrative activities of the Residency Program to assure fulfillment of all Residency Program accreditation requirements of the ACGME with Osteopathic Recognition, the R.R.C. for Family Practice, and other accrediting bodies.
    • In cooperation with the Medical Center, establishes the program mission, objectives and measures of effectiveness; and, guides Strategic Planning for the ongoing growth and development of the Program.
    • Trains and supervises medical students and residents engaged in specialty activities and procedures, as appropriate.

    Education/Experience/Licensure Requirements

    • Licensed or eligible to practice in the state of New York
    • Federal DEA Certification
    • Board certified or Board Eligible in Specified Area of Medical Specialty, Medical Specialty License or Certification if applicable
    • Current BCLS, ACLS certifications.

    Compensation Details

    $300-350k

    During the term of employment, Provider will be entitled to receive such benefits and participate in such benefit plans as are generally provided by Hospital to its providers through its Benefits program for management level employees.
