Responsibilities: - Administer anesthesia to pediatric patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures, including general surgery, ENT, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and more - Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments tailored to pediatric patients, including review of medical history and physical exams - Develop individualized anesthetic care plans focused on pediatric needs and best practices - Monitor pediatric patients' vital signs and adjust anesthetic plans to ensure safety and comfort throughout procedures - Collaborate closely with pediatric surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient outcomes - Provide post-anesthesia care, including pain management and recovery monitoring - Ensure compliance with pediatric anesthesia protocols and patient safety guidelines
Qualifications: - Current certification as a CRNA by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) - Valid New York State CRNA licensure - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred - Previous experience in pediatric anesthesia required - Strong ability to work in a high-acuity pediatric environment
Working Hours: - Full-time schedule with flexible options - Monday–Friday, potential for 8 or 10 hour shifts - No weekends or call required
