This position is a part of the Ochsner Medical Center Orthopedic program, joining a group of 21 orthopedic surgeons, 5 Primary Care Sports Medicine Physicians and 17 Advanced Practice providers that offer the full range of orthopaedic sub-specialty care.

· Clinical Sites: The primary sites for this position include the Elmwood Hand Clinic and Ochsner Hospital for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, with additional locations in Belle Chasse and St. Anne Clinic in Raceland, LA.

· Team and Support: The hand and upper extremity program is supported by a diverse team of orthopedic nurses, certified hand therapists, and occupational therapists, ensuring comprehensive patient care.

· Academic and Research Opportunities: Ochsner has a residency program and is involved in research. This is a clinical and educational focused position, yet the ideal candidate will also pursue academic and research efforts. Affiliation with several medical schools means there will be opportunities for teaching and collaboration.

· Call Rotation: Call will be in New Orleans at Ochsner Medical Center.

· Patient Care Focus: The Hand & Upper Extremity program provides specialized care, including access to orthopedic-certified physical therapists and certified hand therapists.
