—— Per Diem —— Ob/Gyn Hospitalists - We're Hiring at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana - Great Location between Detroit and Chicago !

Responsibilities

A successful OB hospitalist program should be a collaboration among your hospital's staff and affiliated obstetricians, family practice physicians and sub-specialists. Our experienced, board-eligible or board-certified OB Hospitalists provide OB triage, admissions inpatient care, and delivery for hospitalized patients. This cost-effective, cohesive approach improves clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.

• 24-hour shifts providing OB Hospitalist care working side by side with an outstanding group of neonatologists and maternal fetal medicine physicians; the option for 12 hour shifts is available + Engage with Obsterix MFM physicians to provide quality care for antepartum & intrapartum high-risk patients.
• Collaborate with a robust Certified Nurse Midwife practice of 7 providers.
• Coordinate care with the Pediatrix Neonatology physicians for the best neonatal outcomes in the region.
• Level III NICU & Level III Perinatal Center
• Level II trauma center, MedFlight, and specialized Maternal OB transport team.
• 10 birthing suites and an average of 3 deliveries per 24 hour shift and annual deliveries of approximately 2,000

• Participate in teaching activities and other clinical activities associated with the OB Hospitalist program + Located between Chicago and Detroit - Near the University of Notre Dame and 30-45 minutes from Lake Michigan
  Qualifications

• Must be Board Certified
• Active IN license or IMLC compact
• Seeking per diem providers for ongoing coverage needs

Benefits and Compensation

Pediatrix does cover your travel expenses (round trip flight/rental car or mileage and lodging) for those who reside outside a commutable distance from the practice.

We also cover your malpractice insurance for this W-2 per diem position.
