In-House shifts in eastern South Dakota

Specialty Needed: Ob Laborist

Scope of Coverage Needed: In-House call; no clinic needed

Shift Times: 12-hour night shifts

Specific Dates of Need: Minimum of 3-4 shifts per month

Required Procedures/Cases Details:

• # of deliveries per month/year? 9.3 deliveries per day was the average for March (Jan 254/month, Feb 255/month, March 289/month)
• Bread and butter OB and GYN cases, C-Sections

Required Certifications: BE (acceptable for the first 2 years out of residency), otherwise they need to be BC

Hospital/Practice Information:

• EMR System: EPIC
• Bed Count: 545 beds
• NICU Level: Level III NICU
• Trauma Level: Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
• Support Staff: Physician would have a back up MD on call within 30 minutes if assistance needed. MFM on staff. One CNM in-house.

Case Log Requirements: OB and GYN requirements within last 12 months include 50 deliveries (including 5 c-sections, and would prefer to see logs of some ectopic pregnancy treatments, laceration repair and D&C) + 25 GYN surgeries/procedures.
