Academic Sleep, Pulmonary, Critical Care Physician-Phoenix, Arizona. The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at Banner University Medical Center - Phoenix (BUMC-P) and the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix (COM-P) invites applications to join our group of 22 faculty dedicated to outstanding patient care and training the next generation of physicians. The Physician will provide PSG interpretations, perform sleep duties in outpatient clinics, and hospital consultative services. Opportunities for involvement in other subspecialty rotations (MICU, pulmonary clinics) are available based on other board certifications. Rotations and clinics in both teaching and non-teaching venues are required. The sleep program is involved with our multidisciplinary metabolic clinic The Division has a mature GME program with 15 pulmonary and critical care fellows and 2 sleep fellows. All physicians are required to hold a COM-P faculty title commensurate with academic experience. For highly qualified candidates, academic opportunities with clinical buy down are possible. Teaching and mentoring of medical students and residents are an expectation of faculty. The Division has subspecialty programs in sleep medicine, sleep devices, pulmonary hypertension, interstitial lung disease, interventional pulmonology, COPD and asthma. BUMC-P is nationally recognized for providing exceptional patient care and is consistently ranked highly by U.S. News & World Report.
Position Details:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Sleep Medicine required
- Teaching duties required
Preferred:
- Pulmonary and/or Critical Care certification
- > 3 years' experience at an academic medical center
- Publications or trial experience in area of interest
