  • UT Health East Texas is seeking a BE/BC Advanced Endoscopy Trained Gastroenterologist to join its practice at UT Quitman (35 miles north of Tyler, TX) and UT Pittsburg, TX (55 miles north of Tyler, TX).

    About the Facilities: Both UT Health Pittsburg (constructed 2009) and UT Health Quitman (constructed 2013) are each 25-bed critical access hospitals offering 24-hour emergency designated as a Level IV trauma center and Level III Stroke Center; surgical suites, advanced diagnostic technology, sleep lab, and swing bed care to the communities they serve. Joint Commission Accredited, UT Health Pittsburg was recently named a "Top 123 Hospital of 2023" from The LeapFrog Group.

    UT Health East Texas is comprised of 10 hospitals, more than 90 clinics, the Olympic Plaza Tower, 13 regional rehabilitation facilities, two freestanding emergency centers, regional home health services covering 41 counties, an EMS fleet of more than 50 ambulances and four helicopters, and a comprehensive seven-trauma center care network, including the region’s only Level 1 trauma facility. In 2024, we also added six Urgent Care clinics to our network. Our team includes nearly 400 employed providers and more than 7,000 team members.
