We are seeking a highly motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our vibrant Interventional Radiology (IR) team at SSM Saint Louis University. This position offers a unique and attractive mix of inpatient consultsranging from basic to complex cases such as trauma, bleeds, and emergenciesalong with outpatient clinic days and opportunities to perform basic IR procedures, including vascular access. It's an ideal role for APPs seeking variety and growth, blending consultative, procedural, and outpatient care in a high-end academic practice . Preferred qualifications:
- NP preferably with Internal Medicine, Critical care or hospitalist/ICU, Surgery background
- Master's Degree from a nationally accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program
- Registered nurse license and advanced practice nurse licensure or certified physician assistant in the State of Missouri or ability to obtain
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fostering positive patient-provider relationships
- Commitment to staying current with advancements in healthcare and continuously improving clinical skills
Core responsibilities:
- Inpatient Consults focused with procedures and some outpatient clinic.
- Anticipate seeing 10-15 patients when conducting inpatient rounding
- If desires, training will be provided for procedures include venous access, PICC lines, mid lines, arterial lines (vascular access) & ports.
- Minor bedside procedures (catheter and suture removals)
- 4-day work week schedule
- No afterhours call
