Unique Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist Position Available On The Coast

Sentara Medical Group is seeking a well-trained physician team member to join our Advanced Heart Failure group. The position is a hybrid private academic model with competitive compensation and abundant opportunities for research and academic training. The practice is a well-establish group with specialty areas that run the spectrum of heart failure including high-volume HOCM, ATTR, and sarcoidosis, to name a few, as well as cardiac transplant, including dual organ heart-kidney, and LVAD implantation. Our group is a blend of physicians and exceptional dedicated advanced practice practitioners. We enjoy a great working relationship with cardiothoracic surgery and other cardiology specialties. The program serves the Sentara Health System which includes 12 hospitals. We are based out of the central hub of the system, Sentara Norfolk General, which is the premier tertiary center of eastern Virginia with a large catchment area that covers most of eastern Virginia up to Maryland and extends into North Carolina. It serves as the primary training center for Eastern Virginia Medical School and its affiliated ACGME accredited programs. The Heart Hospital features six cath labs for diagnostic and interventional procedures, four electrophysiology labs, five cardiac operating rooms, one hybrid OR, and one CPET lab. We are a high-volume complex PCI and valve intervention center. We have the full gamut of advanced multimodality cardiac imaging. Our clinic sees approximately 10,000 patients visits annually.
