The Department of Pediatrics and The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at the University of Minnesota seeks a board-certified/eligible Pediatric Gastroenterologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank on an academic track to join the Pediatric Gastroenterology team. The team is currently comprised of six Pediatric Gastroenterology physicians and two Pediatric Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioners.
- This position will include clinical duties working at the award-winning M Health Fairview Masonic Children's Hospital and clinics.
- Participation in the instructing of medical students, residents, and fellows, clinical practice through MPhysicians, and participation in service activities on behalf of the department, the medical school, and your profession.
- The successful candidate will participate in research projects and other academic/scholarly activities either as a collaborator or independent researcher and participate in faculty development activities tailored to the candidate's career interests and goals.
- This is a full-time (1.0 FTE).
The Division plays an integral role in hepatology and liver transplantation, hosting one of the longest-standing liver transplant programs in the United States. The Division is home to a nationally-recognized division chronic and acute recurrent pancreatitis in children. Our research portfolio is comprised of clinical research in the gastrointestinal complications of cystic fibrosis, inflammatory bowel disease, food insecurity, sarcopenia and chronic pancreatitis. The Division continues to maintain the highest ambitions for excellence in all three of its major missions: patient services, teaching, and research.

The mission of the Department of Pediatrics is to generate new knowledge through research, to apply this new knowledge to the highest quality health care for the prevention and treatment of illness in children, and to provide the best possible education of the next generation of medical students, physicians, and other health professionals in childhood disease prevention, treatment, research, and advocacy. Through this mission the Department seeks to improve the lives of children in our community, nation, and the world.
- Graduate of an accredited Pediatric residency and three-year fellowship-training program in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.
- Board-eligible/certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition
- Licensed or ability to acquire medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
- Ability to work in the United States. Note that our site can process J-1 visas.

Compensation Details
$200-306k
