Part time Remote-Based Psychiatrist

POSITION SUMMARY:

The MinuteClinic MD (Psychiatry) leverages administrative support in addition to delivering patient care services through virtual technology. The ratio of work is dependent upon patient demand. You will work in collaboration with a dedicated team of professionals as you independently provide holistic, evidenced-based care inclusive of accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for our patients. Encounters are documented utilizing an electronic health record (EHR).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Provide holistic, evidenced-based care inclusive of accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, psychiatric diagnosis and prescribing, mental health counseling and disposition planning for our patients. This includes education and treatment for pregnancy prevention, sexually transmitted infection (STI) Prevention and safer sex practices.
2. Serving as a clinical expert and resource for clinical quality initiatives.
3. Program development and process improvement insight as a key expert in both roles providing acute care and behavioral health services.
4. Quality and Training background to support onboarding of new providers and quality oversight of behavioral health care.

EDUCATION:

Completion of a:

Doctorate of Medicine degree in Family Medicine or Psychiatry with current National Board Certification and State of Employment license to practice required in State of Missouri.

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Minimum of two years of medically-relevant experience or equivalent
2. Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
3. Outstanding organizational skills and ability to multi-task
4. Initiative, problem solving ability, adaptability and flexibility
5. Ability to work without direct supervision and practice autonomously
6. Is proficient with information management and technology
7. Capacity to collaborate with professional colleagues as necessary to provide quality care
8. Depending on the market, the ability to be proficient in both speaking and writing in additional languages not limited to but including Spanish may be required

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

1. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to move about and interact with customers, sit, write, operate the computer and phone, speak intelligibly, and hear patient responses
2. The employee must also possess the ability to perform overhead reach, bending / squatting to access supplies, balance and safely use a step stool, lift at least 20 lbs., and move about the surrounding location
3. Specific vision abilities include the ability to view and read a computer screen and other electronic devices
