Optum NY, (formerly Optum Tri-State NY) is seeking a dedicated, patient-centric Physician Assistant to join our growing Cardiology team at our Midtown, NYC location on East 37th Street. Optum is a clinician-led care organization that is changing the way clinicians work and live.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessing and diagnosing cardiac conditions in patients.
  • Helping to perform cardiac testing and interpreting results.
  • Working with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
  • Prescribing medication and administering treatment.
  • Counseling and educating patients on cardiac conditions and prevention.

Position Highlights:

  • Collegial multispecialty group practice with a large referral base
  • Offices offer a broad array of cardiovascular services: exercise stress testing, non-invasive imaging, echocardiogram and vascular studies, nuclear stress testing, pacemakers, and defibrillators
  • All specialties on the same EMR
  • Robust in-house diagnostic testing facility
  • Clinic days are 8:30am – 5:30pm

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree as a Physician Assistant from an accredited program.
  • Certified as a Physician Assistant through the NCCPA or as a Family through the ANCC and/or AANP.
  • Active and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the State of New York.
  • Active and unrestricted DEA License (or ability to obtain prior to start).
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years post graduate clinical experience highly preferred.

New York Residents Only: The salary range for New York residents is $109,513 to $147,146 per year.
