Aya Locums has an immediate opening for an Anesthesiologist job in Williamsport, PA:

Position Overview

• Specialty: Anesthesiology (General with Cardiac preferred)
• Contract Length: Flexible (13 weeks minimum)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM - 5:35 PM, 9-hour shifts
• Call: Optional (Weekdays: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM; Weekends: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM, 24-hour call can be split into 12-hour shifts)
• Start Date: March 2025
• End Date: Flexible
• On Call: Available (with extra pay for on-call hours)

Facility Details

• Type: Acute Care Hospital
• Location: Williamsport, PA
• Support Staff: 9 MDs on-site; primarily directing CRNAs, hands-on work may be required
• Patient Age Group: 90% adult, 10% pediatric
• EMR: Cerner
• Procedures: General Anesthesia, Cardiac, OB, Neuro, Basic Orthopedic Blocks (with potential for expansion), all major adult subspecialty care.

Work Requirements

• Licensure: Pennsylvania state license required (willing to license if needed)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required; DEA required
• Experience: 1+ year of experience required; must be comfortable with all cases, including cardiac, OB, pediatric, and general anesthesia.
• Board Certification: BC/BE; Board-eligible within 3 years of residency
• Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days

Additional Information

• Average Daily Cases: One delivery and three hours of cases after 7 PM.
• Workload: Approximately 40 hours per week (20 shifts per month)
• Shift Details: Day shifts (6:30 AM – 5:35 PM), optional call (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM on weekdays; 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM on weekends)
• Procedure Volume: Includes general anesthesia, cardiac, OB, neuro, and basic orthopedic blocks. May expand scope in the future.

Compensation

• Pay Rate: $380-390/hour
• Call Pay: $10,000/day (for 24-hour call)
