Job Details:
A well-established hospital and medical center is seeking a board-certified Hematologist with interest and experience in classical and malignant hematology.
The position involves evaluating and managing patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including consultation to medical and surgical services. The successful candidate must have experience in autologous transplantation and be eligible to participate in a FACT-accredited autologous stem cell transplant program.
Support Staff:
Outpatient care is supported by dedicated advanced practitioners, while hematologist-supervised inpatient care is provided by residents and hospitalists. The hematology team is further supported by nurse navigators, a transplant coordinator, and administrative staff.
Collaborative clinical care is provided by the Transfusion Medicine Service, which includes pheresis services, hematopathologists, and Radiation Oncology. Real-time flow cytometry is performed on-site by dedicated technicians and hematopathologists.
Additional embedded complementary and supportive care services include Palliative Care, Behavioral Oncology, a Survivorship Program, social workers, and an acupuncturist. The institution is a full member of SWOG and NRG, with opportunities for clinical trial participation. Academic appointments are available based on expertise and interest, as the hospital is affiliated with a major medical school.
