Locum Tenens Urologist - Long-Term Opportunity - Michigan

Job Description:

We are actively seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Urologist to provide long-term locum tenens coverage for a vacancy as part of a permanent search. This position includes clinic and OR coverage Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM , with a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation. The schedule includes 4 clinic days and 1 OR day per week. No call coverage is required.

Facility Details:

• EMR: MediTech / Athena
• Stroke-Certified Level 3 Trauma Center
• Beds in Department: 25
• Support staff: 1 RN, 1 MA, 1 Office Staff
• Facility lodging may be available

Clinical Expectations:

• Rounding: Assigned patients
• Avg. 20 patients per shift
• Admissions required
• Hospital/surgery center privileges required (temporary privileges available)

Required Skills:

• General Urology (Adult & Pediatric)
• Laparoscopic Surgeries
• Ureteroscopy
• Renal and Bladder Ultrasound w/ Biopsy
• TRUS Biopsies
• Fertility Work-up
• Preferred: Robotic Surgery (Da Vinci Xi available), Prostatectomy, Nephrectomy, Incontinence Procedures

Certifications & Credentials:

• ACLS (required)
• Must hold a valid Michigan License (IMLC not accepted)
• MI CDS and MI DEA required
