Job Summary:

The Division of Hospital Medicine and Complex Care within the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking a Pediatric Complex Care Physician to join our growing team. We are looking for candidates with a track record of clinical excellence and academic contributions as demonstrated through training and/or practice experience.

Clinical services in the Division of Hospital Medicine and Complex Care span inpatient general care, inpatient and outpatient complex care, and pediatric sedation. Our experts strive to deliver care that is family-centered, equitable, evidence-based, safe, and coordinated. Our nationally acclaimed complex care program is a comprehensive, interprofessional program that provides medical management and care coordination for children with medical complexity. Our division is currently focusing on building a culture and infrastructure that accelerates the development and dissemination of high-impact clinical, educational, and research interventions and nurtures the professional fulfillment of our faculty and staff across the career lifespan.

The Department of Pediatrics is a vibrant academic department comprising more than 200 faculty members in 16 subspecialty divisions. The department promotes and enhances the health of children through outstanding clinical care, exemplary education of pediatric trainees, performance of cutting-edge research, and vigorous advocacy. Qualifications:

  • Completion of an ACGME-approved pediatric residency program is required, by start date.
  • Experience in an academic medical setting is preferred.
  • Experience caring for children with medical complexity is preferred.
  • For an appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on the CHS Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment or promotion to Associate Professor or Professor on the CHS Track.

- Board eligibility in Pediatrics through the American Board of Pediatrics is required, by start date.

- Must be eligible for enrollment as a billing provider and for all necessary hospital privileges, by start date.
