Diagnostic Radiologist (Contract)

The Department of Radiology at Los Angeles General Medical Center is seeking clinical faculty in Diagnostic Radiology for the following subspecialities – Abdominal, Cardiothoracic, Emergency, Musculoskeletal, Neuroradiology, Women’s, Nuclear Medicine. In addition to clinical services, candidates will be involved in trainee education, research, and other creative endeavors.

Overnight ER coverage

• $4300 per night
• 10p-7a - Medical Malpractice and Tail Covered, workstation provided, no other benefits.
• 60-70 wRVUs per shift. 
• Minimum of 60 nights per year commitment.  Ideally, they will need two contractors per night, one a neuroradiologist and the other a non-neuroradiologist (ER, body, MSK, generalist OK).

Position Requirements

• Candidates must have an MD, DO or equivalent degree.

• Candidates must be board-certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology (DR).

• Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.

• Candidates must have completed a 1-year or 2-year fellowship. • Candidates must have a current/pending California Fluoroscopy license.

• Desire to interpret studies from one of the nations’ largest teaching hospitals at a single site, which is conveniently located on a medical campus adjacent to downtown Los Angeles.

• Desire for a rich clinical experience derived from the tremendous variety in pathology.

• Passion for providing high quality clinical patient care to an underserved population.

• Passion to teach and work with trainees.

• Interest in participating in scholarly activities.

• Opportunities to participate in multidisciplinary conferences, quality initiatives, and hospital committees
