The Clinical Manager for Transplant Services is an Advanced Practice Provider who promotes family-centered care by subscribing to and supporting Phoenix Children’s mission and values.
The Clinical Manager for Transplant Services provides care and educates patients and their families in transplant related care. He/she develops criteria for and participates in the evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of care. He/she plans and participates in learning opportunities for advanced practice, nursing, medical students, other healthcare professionals and community members as it relates to the care of the transplant patient. He/she works with administrative, nursing, physician, and ancillary staff to assure quality patient care and to promote education and research.
About The Position
- This position evaluates, manages, and supervises operational functions and activities of the transplant programs at Phoenix Children’s by guiding and supporting staff.
- He/she also serves as a liaison with other departments to plan, implement, communicate, evaluate, and coordinate patient care operations across the enterprise, facilitating quick resolution of issues to ensure excellence in a family centered care environment.
- He/she provides oversight and day-to-day management of all clinical staff in the transplant programs, including the PA`s and NP`s within the transplant programs.
- Additionally, the Clinical Manager for Transplant provides care to a caseload of patients within his/her scope of practice as outlined by applicable state law, regulations, institutional policies, and practice agreements.
- He/she functions as an independent healthcare provider who, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team including transplant surgeons and physicians, is responsible for providing comprehensive care to pediatric transplant patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
