Gynecology Clinical Educator & Expert Trainer – $135/Hour

Job Description:

A prominent university-based student health center in Stony Brook, NY is seeking a Gynecology Clinical Educator & Expert Trainer to lead training initiatives for gynecologic care. This role focuses exclusively on gynecology (no obstetrics) and supports healthcare providers through clinical education, direct feedback, and procedural oversight.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced physician with a background in gynecologic procedures and training, passionate about delivering inclusive, student-centered care in a culturally competent environment.

Key Details:

• Pay Rate: $135/hour
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens
• Setting: University-based student health clinic
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard clinic hours (exact hours to be finalized during interview)
• EMR System: Proficiency in electronic health records required
• Population: Primarily college-aged patients

Job Responsibilities: - Lead training sessions for healthcare providers on pelvic exams, screenings, and gynecologic procedures - Perform hands-on assessments, provide real-time feedback, and mentor staff - Oversee quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to best practices - Shadow providers and evaluate consistency of clinical care - Assist in developing provider training resources and patient education tools - Participate in professional development and student wellness events

Qualifications: - MD or DO from an accredited institution - Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics & Gynecology (Gynecology focus only) - Strong clinical training and extensive experience in gynecologic procedures - Proficient in EMR systems and electronic prescribing (New York compliance) - Active DEA license - CPR/BLS certification required - Experience in clinical supervision and provider education

Working Hours: - Monday–Friday - Standard daytime clinic hours (final schedule discussed during interview) - Occasional evenings/weekends may be required for student events
