Trauma Critical Care Surgeon in Abilene, TX

Plan work around your life! As a TeamHealth surgeon you'll work 14 days per month! TeamHealth is looking for exceptional general surgeons to join our trauma, acute care general surgery program at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas! Hendrick Medical Center is a level III trauma center offering facilities with cutting edge technology, 14 operating rooms, and a staff who create and nurture a welcoming environment. 

Qualifications * Fellowship in surgical critical care or trauma * MD or DO: board certified * Active or in-process Texas medical license * Willing to relocate to the Abilene area

What you can expect * Work 7 days on/7 days off; 24 hour shift * 2 surgeon model with APP support * 12 hours of primary call then 12 hours of back-up call coverage * Do not need to remain in-house during their 12 hour back-up call coverage * Support from advanced practice clinicians * Moderate trauma with a variety of cases * Evaluation of all trauma and emergency general surgery consults * Outpatient follow-up in clinic * Round on in-house patients
