Job Summary:

The Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care and the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC) seeks an Academic Clinician to join our team. We seek candidates for this position in Hematologic malignancies, specifically myeloma with an interest in cancer research focus to join our faculty. This is an opportunity on the Clinical Health Sciences (CHS) track or Clinician Teacher (CT) track, for prospects seeking an Associate Professor or Assistant Professor position. An interest in cellular therapy and therapeutic clinical trials is desired. An interest in health services research is also considered. Priority areas include genomics, precision medicine and cancer therapeutics.

The Division of Hematology, Oncology and Palliative Care at UW-Madison includes more than 60 faculty, 30 Advanced Practice Providers, and 19 Fellows. The division's faculty leads cutting-edge basic, translational and clinical research programs. This research encompasses cancer biology, cancer prevention, screening and treatment, as well as survivorship and palliative care for patients impacted by solid tumors, benign and malignant hematologic conditions and those requiring stem cell transplant or cellular therapies.

The successful candidate will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health.

Qualifications:

Completed accredited hematology or hematology/medical oncology fellowship training. Fellows are welcome to apply.

Experience in clinical, basic science or translational research, with a track record of successful publications in peer reviewed journals, strong written and verbal communication skills, commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and evidence of excellence in teaching.

For an appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on CHS Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CHS Track.

For an appointment at Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor rank on CT Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CT Track.
