Associate Chief Medical Information Officer

Job Summary:
UW Health, along with the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH), is seeking a Associate Chief Medical Information Officer, on the CT or CHS Track.
Through a combination of coordinated teamwork and sophisticated individual effort the Associate Chief Medical Information Officer (aCMIO) will provide clinical leadership in evaluating, implementing, and advancing diffusion of health information technology at UW Health. An emphasis will be placed on the primary utilization of the Health Link electronic health record. This position will represent the provider community in decisions about technology functionality and usability, ensuring alignment with the tripartite mission. Offer strategic leadership to enhance physician practice, support operational needs, comply with regulations, and establish a foundation for analytics. The SMPH home department will be determined at the time of hire.

Ability to represent the clinical enterprise outside of one's specialty/department.
3 years of clinical practice required
3 years of medical/health informatics leadership experience required
Ideal candidate would have minimum of 5 years clinical practice at faculty level.
Experience in leading implementation/optimization of health IT systems across ambulatory and inpatient enterprise at a tertiary/quaternary organization preferred
For appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on CHS Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CHS Track.
For appointment at Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor rank on CT Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CT Track.
