Summary
- Through my career journey as an academic clinical pediatric hematologist-oncologist, my major focus has been on pediatric lymphomas and most recently post solid organ transplant lymphoproliferative disorder (PTLD). As the institutional leader in non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), my clinical research focuses on this field of study.
A clinician at heart, my clinical expertise and commitment to mentoring and education led to my invitation to membership in 2 national committees of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
I have a strong commitment to mentoring and early professional development of trainees of all levels including junior faculty, residents, and medical students. My biggest emphasis is on pediatric hematology oncology fellows. My niche as a combined clinician educator is illustrated by the successful mentoring and supervision of my mentees in developing and delivering national and international conference presentations and writing peer reviewed publications. More than half of my scholarly record consists of mentored work.
