- Dr. Carl Lo is a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatric Anesthesiology at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). After finishing undergraduate study at UCLA, he completed medical school and anesthesia residency at West Virginia University, then moved on to pediatric anesthesia fellowship at Johns Hopkins, and a second fellowship in pediatric pain at CHLA. He is currently the Associate Director of Inpatient Pain Service at CHLA, leading patient-centered regional anesthesia and inpatient pain medicine, and facilitating medical education in regional anesthesia and acute/chronic pain medicine of all disciplines across the institution. His area of focus at CHLA includes hospital wide clinical improvement and medical education on airway management, peri-operative use of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), and pediatric anesthesia fellowship education. He completed basic certificate in Perioperative Point-of-Care Ultrasound.
