Summary
- I am a board certified cardiovascular surgeon as well as cardiologist. My medical education completed a 6-year MD program in Osaka University medical school, Osaka, Japan. Following 2 years of my training in General Surgery and 3 years in Cardiovascular Surgery, I completed a 4-year PhD program in Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine. I had a 2-year clinical training as transplant fellow in Stanford University and currently obtained an academic faculty position here in Stanford University School of Medicine.
My clinical interest is surgical treatment (e.g. orthotopic heart transplant, lung transplant, heart-lung transplant, mechanical circulatory support, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) for advanced heart failure and respiratory failure patients.
