Summary

  • I am Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Palliative Care and a Certified Wound Care Consultant. I am the founder and director of the East Harlem Health Outreach Partnership, a free clinic for the uninsured of East Harlem and the South Bronx. I am also a senior attending physician in the Visiting Doctors Program, the nation's largest academic primary care program for the homebound. I have particular interests in the delivery of care to vulnerable populations as well as in wound care. I have extensive experience in educating healthcare professional trainees in the care of the homebound and the uninsured.
  • Teaching Physicians the Price of Care

Medical students are starting to learn about the cost of treatments, the financing of health care, and the impact of high medical bills on their patients.

Our safety net is broken: Coronavirus shows how urgently we need to repair it

The COVID-19 pandemic is challenging free clinics in the United States in unprecedented ways.
