- Dr. Yama Akbari is a neuro-intensivist at UCI Medical Center. He is Division Chief of Neurocritical Care at UC Irvine. He received his medical degree from University of California Irvine School of Medicine and has been in practice since 2012. He is a neurologist with fellowship-training in neurocritical care and is experienced in critical care medicine and cerebrovascular disease. He is also the Principal Investigator of a NIH-funded preclinical and clinical research lab focused on coma, cardiac arrest, resuscitation, and neuro-intensive care.
