- Xiang Da (Eric) Dong, MD, FACS, a fellowship-trained surgical oncologist, has joined the medical staff at Nuvance Health at Norwalk Hospital and Danbury Hospital as Chief of Surgical Oncology / Hepatobiliary Surgery. Dr. Dong specializes in the treatment of gastrointestinal cancer, including colorectal, esophageal, gastric, liver and pancreatic cancer. He’s also actively involved in the management of patients with endocrine disorders.
Dr. Dong is interested in minimally invasive surgery for gastrointestinal malignancies. He has authored over 50 peer reviewed papers on various topics regarding cancer. He is also interested in robotic surgery, for management of gastric, intestinal, pancreatic, rectal and other intra-abdominal malignancies.
