Summary
- I treat adult soft tissue sarcoma in the abdomen / retroperitoneum, extremity and trunk. My approach to surgery is aggressive but balances safety and preservation of quality of life. I try to mitigate patient anxiety by facilitating a better understand their disease and most importantly, by offering hope. I completed general surgery residency at UCSF, surgical oncology fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. At MD Anderson I also received additional dedicated training in sarcoma. As an attending surgeon, I have focused my practice on sarcoma for the past decade, which includes periodic continued education at the Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori in Milan.
