- Dr. William Stetson is an orthopedic surgeon who is fellowship trained in arthroscopy and sports medicine. He is in private practice at Stetson Lee Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Burbank, CA and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Glendale Adventist Medical Center and the Alameda Surgery Center. He received his medical degree from Keck School of Medicine of USC and completed his residency at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship in arthroscopy and sports medicine at the Southern California Orthopaedic Institute (SCOI) where he was mentored by pioneers in arthroscopic surgery. He has been in private practice for over 25 years and has an expertise in orthopedic sports medicine and the arthroscopic and reconstructive treatment of complex shoulder, knee, ankle and elbow injuries. Dr. Stetson has been the team physician for the USA Men's and Women's Olympic Volleyball Teams since 2006 and traveled with the teams to London for the 2012 Olympics. Dr. Stetson also does an extensive amount of volunteer work in other countries including Cuba and Romania. He is the founder and CEO of the non-profit Operation Arthroscopy (www.operationarthroscopy.org) whose mission is to bring orthopaedic surgery and arthroscopy to those in need. Dr. Stetson has been a voluntary faculty member at Los Angeles County USC Medical Center since 1998 where he volunteers his time to teach the orthopaedic residents arthroscopy. Dr. Stetson also is a Qualified Medical Examiner (QME) and has also served as an expert witness for complex orthopaedic and legal cases since 2007. He is also the CEO and Founder of SurgTime™ (www.surgtime.com) which is a telesurgery internet platform that allows two-way audiovisual communication in the operating room to facilitate and accelerate surgical education and instruction regardless of one's geographic location.
