Summary

• I have had the privilege of working with people through the health care industry for over 35 years. My last formal work role was serving as the VP for Medical Affairs for the retail pharmacy/PBM company, CVS Health Inc. In that role, I led a team of over 40 pharmacists and physicians responsible for ensuring the clinical accountability of prescription drug selections (formularies) for more than 50 million Americans insured through commercial and Medicare Part D plans.
  
  I “retired” from CVS Health Inc. in July 2016 but I retained my interest in pharmacotherapy, medicine and health care in the areas of effective wellness practices. I took a short “sabbatical” to help care for my dying mother in North Carolina however I was definitely not ready to “hang up the stethoscope" in medicine. Consequently, I have been engaged in several “pro bono” health care services, mission work trips, and private consultations before, through and after the C-19 pandemic. In the Summer of 2022, I met a Family Nurse Practitioner who desired to open a wellness and primary care clinic in a local community. I became her official collaborating physician and I am now looking forward to this new chapter of my career.
