Summary
- I earned my medical degree from Hunan Medical University in Changsha, China. After completing residency training in Internal Medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, I joined on as faculty at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston where I enjoyed a successful 22-year career at the world's largest cancer center.
I strongly believe that lifestyle plays a critical role in cancer risks, treatment response, disease progression, as well as overall health and wellness. My clinical practice emphasizes the importance of nutrition, physical fitness, and mental health as integral components of chronic disease treatments and preventative healthcare.
While my primary training is in western medicine, I have a unique understanding of traditional Chinese medicine and recognize commonalities between the two medical theories. I incorporate traditional Chinese herbal formulas to manage various chronic symptoms such as fatigue, pain, headaches, anxiety, sleep difficulties, perimenopausal symptoms, and other chronic maladies.
