He has also served as President of the Medical Staff at Forrest General Hospital and a Clinical Instructor in Neurology. His published research includes studies on epilepsy, antioxidant metabolism in Friedreich's disease, and encephalopathy, with several works cited extensively by other publications. He has received numerous honors, including the American Medical Association Physician’s Recognition Award and induction into the MGCC Alumni Hall of Fame.
