- Dr. Liu received her M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from HeBei Medical University and Peking Union Medical College (PUMC) in China. She received her internal medicine residency training at New York Medical College/Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center. Besides clinical practice, Dr. Liu has been a pioneer researcher in the field of cancer research. She completed postdoctoral training at National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Maryland. Together with Dr. James Phang, she discovered several important mechanisms which are critical for developing novel cancer therapies. She published over 30 original papers and has been invited multiple times to speak in national and international conferences. Dr. Liu is fluent in both Mandarin and English.
