• MY GOAL FOR MY NEXT COMMUNITY HOSPITAL: CREATE A MAGNET DESTINATION ORTHO SITE:
  
  Small hospitals are losing patients to facilities that offer certain “magnet” procedures. Two of these procedures are the anterior approach hip replacement and micro incision bunion surgery.
  
  A Belgium Group has perfected the EDA [Efficient Direct Anterior] Hip technique without a special table. The OR uses just one scrub nurse plus one surgeon assisted by inexpensive retractor holders. I’ve arranged to scrub in for a full day in Belgium June 18, 2019 and will take a class in Maryland.
