- I am Emeritus Professor of Medicine at the School of Medicine, Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. I retired from the Hunter Holmes McGuire DVAMC in 2008, and from VCU in 2011. I was a bench researcher for a number of years, a clinical researcher for most of my career, a teacher and clinician for all of it and an administrator for much of the last half of it. My interests were and are wide ranging-tumor and transplant immunology, bladder cancer trials, cutaneous T cell lymphoma, palliative and hospice care, and history of medicine.
