Summary
- My name is Dr. Vincent Roddy, founder of Synergy Medical Collective (SMC), a Miami-based healthcare staffing firm. With a diverse background, I hold a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Duke University and a medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University's School of Medicine, where I served as class president. Following my medical education, I specialized in Emergency Medicine, completing a 4-year residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, fueling my passion for innovative patient care solutions.
Having worked as an Emergency Physician and Assistant Medical Director at Broward Health Medical Center before becoming the Facility Medical Director at North Shore Medical Center in Miami, I witnessed the challenges healthcare organizations face in staffing and productivity, negatively affecting patient care.
Motivated to drive change, I pursued an MBA at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business, providing me with a comprehensive understanding of healthcare and business convergence. With this knowledge, I founded SMC in November 2022, aiming to revolutionize healthcare staffing through innovative reforms and productivity-based compensation models, ultimately improving patient care in the post-pandemic medical landscape.
Outside of my professional pursuits, I enjoy reading, cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with my loved ones. As a proud "Double Dukie," having earned two degrees from Duke University, I'm an avid supporter of Duke basketball. I'm open to exploring business and media collaborations, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you're interested in connecting with me.
