Summary
- I am board-certified in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine since 2004 and currently enrolled in the Maintenance of Certification program of the American Board of Pediatrics. I remain in professional good standing. I am an Attending Physician at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Pediatric Intensive Care Unit/ Progressive Care Unit since 2005 with a faculty appointment as Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania since 2012. Besides providing clinical services, my research focuses on pediatric critical illness nutrition and endocrine dysfunction. I lead the Pediatric ICU Nutrition Committee at my hospital to improve assessment and delivery of nutrition to critically ill children. I have several publications in leading journals and have received federal funding for research studies. I am actively involved in the education of trainees both at the bedside as well as through formal activities in the School of Medicine focusing on professionalism and bioethics. I am a member of several national societies and believe in healthy citizenship ideals both at work and at home.
